The new IMF inductive proximity sensor from SICK features high enclosure rating and extended sensing range for use in all areas of food production.

The IMF inductive proximity sensor’s V4A stainless steel housing and LCP plastic sensing face are FDA-approved, and the sensor is certified by Ecolab. The IMF is resistant to industrial cleaning agents and extremely watertight, with enclosure ratings of IP 68 and IP 69K. These features allow a longer service life even when subjected to frequent cleaning cycles, which reduces machine downtime.

Sick PS30 Pattern SensorSICK's new PS30 sensor is a scanning opto-electronic sensor for rapid and precise position identification and presence detection for labels, packaging materials, or tubes. The PS30 is able to detect complex patterns even when objects are moving at high speeds of up to 10 m/s. Based on the principle of operation of a line sensor, it delivers a stable switching signal. The PS30 is primarily used in the packaging industry.

Distinctive taught-in patterns in an image are used as a reference for the subsequent reliable detection and positioning of objects; special reference marks are not necessary. Increased design freedom, reduced material consumption, and effective process control are the advantages. Commissioning the sensor is a quick and user-friendly process which can be completed on the control panel, in the SOPAS configuration software, or via the machine's HMI.

The SICK TR10 Lock is a safety locking device providing PLe (EN ISO 13849) SIL3 (IEC 61508) protection for personnel and processes through physical locking of moveable safety equipment such as guards and screens to prevent access to, or interference with, machinery in a hazardous area.

The TR10 Lock features an RFID-triggered solenoid locking bolt that extends into the actuator for physical prevention of opening, or movement, of a safety guard. The holding force of 1300N ensures effective protection and the TR10 can be mounted in several different ways to make it easy to integrate with the machine design.
